NYASA BIG BULLETS have promoted two reserves to their senior side amid challenges at the back.
The Express understands that left-backs, Gift Jana and Sydney Chabulika have been drafted into the senior team following the injuries of Yamikani Fodya and Emmanuel Zoya.
Fodya and Zoya’s absence has hit the Bullets really hard as evidenced by irregular changes made to their line of defense.
Bullets were being forced to use central defenders and right wing defenders in place of the injured duo.
Jana and Chabulika will travel with the team today to the central region where they have two assignments in the elite TNM Super League.
Tomorrow they will be at Kasungu Stadium against rookies, TN Stars and on Monday they will rock horns with Civil Sporting Club, who will be playing at home. The venue is Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.
Bullets are on second position with 10 points from four games. They have conceded a goal since the league kicked off three weeks ago.
Last season, the team promoted midfielder Ernest Petro and defender Chimwemwe Idana.
Idana is part of the Flames squad expected to begin training this Monday ahead of the COSAFA Cup in South Africa.
His call up for national duty has come as a huge surprise owing to the fact that he doesn’t enjoy much game time for the senior Bullets after they demoted him to the reserves last season.
