The Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, LUANAR, has expelled the school’s Students’ Union president, Moses Mwalabu, for being suspected of cheating during exams.
Mwalaba, has confirmed that the school’s disciplinary committee has expelled him but has denied that he was cheating.
Mwalabu, who was studying Gender and Development, has told The Express that he has appealed against the verdict.
“But what you have to know is that I did not cheat, but I scribbled some notes on the exam pass inside the exam room.
“I am the president, and being the president we face a lot of intimidation at all angles,” he explained.
The final year student clarified that he was checked when he was entering the examination room and was found with no any paper that had notes.
