Malawi is ready to host the 30th Malawi International Trade Fair, MITF, in two days’ time, organizers have confirmed.
Head of communications for the Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, MCCCI, Millie Kasunda told The Express that everything is in place to host the event.
“We are ready to host the 30th Malawi International Trade Fair. All the stands and pavilions have been prepared and a lot of people have expressed interest to take part in the event”, Kasunda told The Express.
She explained that a lot of exhibitors from countries like Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Mozambique, have expressed interest to take part in the trade fair.
The event will provide an opportunity for local entrepreneurs to interact with International business captains.
MCCCI has also organized some events like Business-to-Business meetings, and presentations by industry players that will go concurrently with the trade fair for the stakeholders to share knowledge and experience.
The Malawi International Trade Fair will run from 24th May to 3rd June 2018 at Chichiri Trade Fair Grounds in the Commercial City of Blantyre.
The theme for this year’s annual event is “Industrialization: Basis for Trade Investment”.
