LILONGWE based law firm, NC Msowoya and Associates, is demanding a compensation of Ten Million Kwacha from a Moyale Barracks Football Club,FC, player who assaulted and injured a Mzuzu University FC, supporter.

Moyale player, Ntopicho Njewa, is being asked to pay the money as a compensation for injuring Pemphero Kathewera, after a game involving the two sides on 14th May this year in Mzuzu.

The law firm, acting on behalf victim, is requesting the compensation from Njewa plus Two Million Kwacha as costs fee incurred by the firm, before the close of business on 25th May, 2018.

Failure to honor the demand will prompt the law firm to commence a legal suit against Njewa.

He is supposed to principle the order individually not as Moyale Barracks.

In a letter that The Express has seen, the firm has demanded the said amount solely because Njewa’s act on Kathewera was life threatening and caused severe pain.

The victim was admitted at Mzuzu Central Hospital on the same day and later discharged.
