ILLOVO SUGAR sponsored side, Nchalo United have suspended coachCharles Manda on bitterallegationsthat he receives sweeteners from some players to feature them in competitive games.
United have made the sour decision following complaints froma section of some players who informed management about Manda’s corrupt conduct.
General SecretaryBeston Malunga confirmed the vinegary newsbut said they are investigating the matter.
Malunga, however, says the club has appointed MacDonald Yobe as interim head coach.
A former Malawi international forward, Yobe,was until his appointment, Manda’s deputy.
United are anchoring the sixteen member TNM Super leaguewith four points from seven games.
Manda’s indefinite suspension comes barely five months after taking charge of the relegation bound side.
The former ESCOM United mentor was appointed as head coach in January this year. He tookover from Mavuto Lungu after United earned promotion to the top flight league.
