EIGHT Malawian athletes will go for camping in South Africa in preparation for the Legend Marathon expected to take place next month.
According to the Athletics Association of Malawi president, Godfrey Phiri, the association has opted to send the athletes to South Africa because of its high performance centers.
The athletes will be led by the veteran runner; Henry Moyo, and will leave for the rainbow nation this coming Saturday.
Phiri said he believes the development will help the athletes to be ready for the Legend 68 Kilometers Marathon which will commence on 28th July in South Africa.
He pointed out that the marathon will prepare the athletes for other future competitions where Malawian athletes will have to take part.
Currently, the association is trying to solicit funds for the trip.
