The 2018 Standard Bank Be More Race promises to be a prestigious event this year as a lot of money is up for grabs for the winners.

According to information sourced by The Express from the Standard Bank Facebook Page, the race will take place in Lilongwe on 9th June, where the lengthy distance is 21 Kilometers.

Standard Bank Head office in the Capital is the starting point and the joggers will aim to reach the Bingu International Conference Center where the race will finish.

The fun race which is dubbed, One Race, Run Together, is open to everyone regardless of age or non-customers.
The organisers have said participants are registering overwhelmingly.

Those who will contest for the 21 Kilometers stretch, are supposed to pay K17, 000 as registration fee. Those for the 10 Kilometers stretch will pay K11, 000 and the last distance which is five kilometers, attracts a registration fee of K6,000.

The overall winner will go home with K1.5 Million, the runner-up will pocket K900, 000, whilst the third prize is K550, 000.
The bank’s Facebook page is loaded with images of people jogging in preparation for the race.

Meanwhile, the organisers of the fun race are advising all who intend to take part not to use performance enhancing drinks as they are high in sugar and caffeine which pose harm to the body.
