VICE PRESIDENT for the opposition, Malawi Congress Party, MCP, Sidik Mia, has stressed that when the party comes into power in 2019, will create more jobs for youth in the country.
Mia made the remarks when he attended a graduation ceremony of form four students from Chichiri and Kalumba secondary schools in Blantyre.
Upon wishing them well in the about to start examinations, he emphasized that the desire of MCP is to create employment opportunities for school leavers.
He said when MCP will be given a chance to lead the country, problems facing the youth will be history.
Mia extended his well wishes to all students sitting in this year’s MSCE examinations national wide and stressed that MCP governance will be there to care for the needs of the youth.
He told the express that he attended the ceremony to encourage the students to stay focused and work hard until they reach their goals.
“Students across the country must put all their efforts, as this is their gateway to accomplish their desires,” he said.
Mia said students are writing exams at the right time as he believes that the MCP governance will create more space for school leavers in universities.
“They will be able to go to universities and those in universities will have jobs that will be created by the enormous policies under the leadership of MCP,” he said.
