Way down, Joseph Kamwendo seems to be signaling Wanderers downfall amid the rumours

THE EXECUTIVE committee of Be Forward Wanderers is denying allegations that some of its members are abusing the club’s funds.

This is according to a statement co-signed by club chairman, Gift Mkandawire and treasure, Robert Mbedza.

Released today, the statement seeks to clarify concerns of financial mismanagement raised by a section of the team’s supporters on social media.

According to the statement, supporters are free to scrutinise the club’s financial statements at its secretarial office located in Chichiri, Blantyre to verify transactions.

It adds that no member of the committee can personally make financial transactions in the club’s names because the chairman and general secretary endorse requests for money made by the treasurer’s office.

In its defense, the Wanderers’ executive committee states that this system is approved by the club’s leadership.

Members of the committee further claim that Be Forward Limited is happy with the way its sponsorship package is being utilised as evidenced by the annual increase in funds for the past three season.
