AUTHORITIES in Malawi are implementing a nationwide campaign aimed at reaching out peripheral communities with maternal and child health services.
The five-day initiative, which comes ends on Friday,is targeting children aged from six months to five and women who have just delivered or are within eight weeks old from delivery.
Officials expect that the campaign will towards the reduction of child illness and deaths.
It will include activities like supplementation of Vitamin A, nutrition screening and the dissemination of health tips messages.
The officials are appealing to mothers and care givers to bring under-five children to clinics and other designated places in their respective districts.
The annual program is one way of promoting child health in Malawi.
