FLOOD Church has set Civo Stadium as the venue for the 2018 edition of Ufulu festival slated for Malawi’s Independence Day on 6 July.

The organisers say the festival seeks to celebrate the country’s culture, freedom and creativity.

This year’s live event will attract performances from Ethel Kamwendo-Banda, Suffix, Theo Thompson, Gwamba, Zathu Band and Faith Mussa among many others.

The day-long festival will also feature arts, games, sports and exhibitions.

It will be hosted by cerebrated radio DJ, Joy Nathu of the state controlled broadcaster, MBC.

Activities on the day will run for nine hours from 9 AM.

Community activities are on the menu anda children’s fun area which will beerected to provide a conducive environment for family fun.

Flood church says the free feast will also raise funds to benefit vulnerable girls.

Aside the Ufulu festivals in Lilongwe, Carlsberg in Blantyre has set up a Bash to spice up the cerebrations.
