SPEAKER of the Malawi national assembly, Richard Msowoya is to address the media this afternoon in the capital, Lilongwe.
Sources close to the Malawi Congress Party, MCP parliamentarian say the press conference has nothing to do with the rising of parliament later in the day.
Is widely expected that Msowoya, who doubles as vice president of the opposition party, will announce his next course of action amid a fragile relationship with the President of the MCP, Lazarus Chakwera.
Their sour relationship was evidenced by Chakwera’s decision to dump Msowoya for Sidik Mia as his running-mate in the 2019 tripartite.
The two contested as contested as running mates in the 2014 elections which were won by the Democratic Progressive Party, DPP.
